Overall US Real Estate Market Not as Bad as Portrayed
While many areas of the US are experiencing a correction in the real estate market, our market in the Raleigh area continues to be upbeat.
First of all the real estate market in the US is not as bad as all the doom and gloomers in the news media have portrayed.
There are some areas of the country that have had tougher times than others (the west and NE in particular), but overall the Real Estate Market in 2006 was the third-highest sales year on record, according to the National Association of Realtors®.
“It looks like we’re moving beyond the low for the housing cycle last fall, and buyers are responding to historically low interest rates and competitive pricing by home sellers.â€
