Raleigh Residential Real Estate – New 55+ Active Adult Community Announced in Garner, North Carolina
The number of communities geared to seniors is growing in the greater Raleigh, NC area. A new $40 million retirement community was just announced in today’s News and Observer (the main Raleigh, NC newspaper). The new Village Aversboro will be located at Aversboro Road and Timber Drive in Garner and will include 147 single family homes. It will be the first active adult community in Garner, NC.
The new community will have a 1200 sq. ft. clubhouse and is within walking distance of food and drug stores, the local post office and Lake Benson. Prices will average $270,000 and the homes will feature screened porches and two car garages. Homes will be on 5,000 sq ft lots and yard maintenance will be provided by the home owners association.
Like other active adult communities in the Raleigh, NC area, the new project will appeal to the Triangles’ approximately 245,000 residents who are 55 years old and older. Other active adult communities are also being developed in Cary, Wake Forest and Knightdale, NC.
