Knightdale, North Carolina – Ranked Wal-Mart Receives Approval for new Supercenter

The Knightdale town council has approved the rezoning of the site for a new Wal-Mart this week and Wakefield Associates who is the developer has already begun work on the site for the Village Park Commons. The 430,000 sq. ft. shopping center will be located on the south side of Knightdale Blvd between Parkside subdivision and Widewaters subdivision across the street from the new and unfinished The Shoppe’s at Midway Plantation. The new Wal-Mart Supercenter will be the anchor store.

This approval has generated some resistance. There are a number of Knightdale residents who are considering suing the Town of Knightdale. Read the full story at:  Wal-Mart Opponents
